King of kings and Lord of lords

Jesus has come and is coming again.  He will bring judgment and redemption.  He will defeat His enemies.  He will purify this cosmos.  And He will rule, for He is King of kings and Lord of lords!  And so He will usher in the Kingdom of God – New Heavens and New Earth … and He invites us to be a part of it!  That is the Good News we are to believe and we are to proclaim!

Mercy Triumphs Over Judgment

In the bowls of God’s wrath we see how God deals with sin.  But we only see part of the story.  For that is not the only way God deals with sin.  There is another way – the way God dealt with sin through Jesus Christ.

The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever."

Salvation Belongs to Our God

Our cry and our confession is found in Rev 7:10: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.”  The final redemption of God’s People is guaranteed by their being sealed for God in Christ by the Holy Spirit.  And if our final redemption is guaranteed, then we have hope, confidence and boldness as we live in expectation of our Lord’s return.

Before the Throne of God

John leads us from the Church on earth to the throne room of God.  There we see an astounding and crucial vision of God as the Sovereign Center.  God Almighty is the Center of all things and therefore when we are centered in Him, in Christ, we have redemption and new life.
